FAQ
Common questions
Will it link to pages that don’t actually exist on my site?
No. Every link placed comes from your sitemap inventory — URLs Claude has confirmed exist. It will never invent a page or link to a broken path.
What if my sitemap is missing or broken?
The skill auto-detects from common paths (/sitemap.xml, /wp-sitemap.xml, etc.) and checks robots.txt as a fallback. If nothing is found, it asks you directly.
Can it audit my whole site, not just one article?
Yes — orphan page audit mode scans your full sitemap, identifies pages with 0–1 inbound internal links, and generates a prioritised fix list with exact anchor text and insertion points for each one.
Does it work with non-WordPress sites?
Yes. The linked output is clean HTML or markdown you can paste into any CMS — Webflow, Shopify, Ghost, Notion, HubSpot, anything. WordPress just gets the bonus of a direct API push.
How many internal links does it add per article?
Scaled to word count — 2–4 links for short posts under 800 words, up to 15–20 for long-form content over 4,000 words. The 150-link hard cap (internal + external combined) is always enforced.
